Manama: Hours before the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) was due to release its report into the violence that wracked Bahrain in February and March, a 37-year-old man was killed during protests in the village of Aali.

The man was struck by a security force vehicle during a demonstration in which the security forces fired teargas and rubber bullets.

A Dutch reporter was arrested at the scene and police also fired teargas into the victim's house to deter further demonstrations. The BICI report is being presented to the King later Wednesday after international jurist completed a four-month investigation into the weeks of violence in the Spring.
