Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday received the credentials of 15 new non-resident ambassadors of friendly countries.

Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, were present.

The Vice-President received credentials from Jose Enrique, Cuba’s non-resident Ambassador, Dr Inkhbat Sodnom, Mongolia’s non-resident Ambassador. Tatiana Mishkova, Slovenia’s non-resident Ambassador, Abdullah Humaid, Maldives’ non-resident Ambassador, Saeed Senari, Ghana’s non-resident Ambassador, Mohammad Mahmoud Bin Labat, Mali’s non-resident Ambassador, Esmail Nyama Lingongo Auligi, Gabon’s non-resident Ambassador, Rajab Boya, Kosovo’s non-resident Ambassador, and Maniebdiza Patrick Lisitidi, Botswana’s non-resident Ambassador.

He also received Audli Rodriquez, Jamaica’s non-resident Ambassador, Kona Ki Placket, Liberia’s non-resident Ambassador, Nelson Valencia, non-resident Ambassador of Honduras, Asisklo Valderis Molina, non-resident Ambassador of Guatemala, Galvão kalorais, non-resident Ambassador of Vanuatu, and Shoo Chang Sic, non-resident Ambassador of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

During the ceremony, the ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their leaders to UAE leaders, wishing the UAE further progress and prosperity.

They also expressed the hope that their appointment as ambassadors would mark a new era of cooperation and expansion of diplomatic, economic, tourist and cultural relations between their respective countries and the UAE

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed them and wished them success in performing their new assignments and in enhancing the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and their respective countries.

He reiterated that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, works dedicatedly to extend bridges of humanitarian communication with other countries ion the world, and then build on these humanitarian ties to further boost bilateral economic and cultural relations.

He assured the new envoys of assistance from the UAE government and the competent authorities to help facilitate their mission and discharge their duties to further enhance bilateral relations.

Meanwhile, a new UAE Ambassador to Cyprus was sworn in yesterday (Wednesday) before Shaikh Mohammad at Al Mushrif Palace.

Shaikh Mohammad wished Abdul Wahab Nasser Al Najar success in his duties, and in carrying out his duties diligently in order to expand avenues of cooperation between the UAE and Cyprus for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.

Al Najar swore his allegiance to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to respect the UAE constitution and put the interests of the country before everything else.

Present at the ceremony were Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, and other shaikhs and senior officials.
