Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday (Monday) received at Zabeel Palace Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and her delegation.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, were present.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, and available advantages for expanding avenues of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of economy and building viable investment partnerships.

Shaikh Mohammad and Sheikh Hasina stressed the importance of extending bridges of communication between the private sectors of both countries in order to create opportunities for building investment partnerships that will benefit both nations.

Later, Shaikh Mohammad and Sheikh Hasina witnessed the signing of three agreements. Shaikh Saif signed agreements on security cooperation and prisoner exchange with Asaduzzaman Khan, Bangladesh’s Minister of Home Affairs.

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and Abul Hassan Mahmoud Ali, Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister, signed an agreement for the allocation of land in Dhaka for the construction of a UAE embassy.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, and his hope that these agreements will serve as steps to further bolster friendly and cooperative relations between both nations and peoples. He stressed that the UAE leadership, government and people welcome the extension of bridges of cooperation and friendship with all nations in all fields.
