Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday received Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who is currently on a visit to the UAE.

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed the president and his entourage and discussed ways of strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation in the best interests of both peoples.

They explored avenues of bilateral cooperation, especially with regard to economic, investment and trade ties and developing them for the sake of both countries.

Shaikh Mohammad underlined that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is always keen to bolster its relations with all friendly countries. He praised the progress of UAE-Belarus ties in view of the strong will and desire of the leadership of both countries.

Lukashenko expressed his delight at the growing relations with the UAE, and reaffirmed his country’s eagerness to augment economic cooperation with the UAE and benefit from its development experience.

The two leaders discussed and exchanged views on a number of topics of common interest and the latest regional and international developments.
