Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has received a letter from Tunisia’s Prime Minister, Mehdi Jomaa, dealing with the bilateral relations between the UAE and Tunisia as well as matters of common interest.

Nidal Al Warfali, Minister at the Tunisian Prime Minister’s Office in Charge of Coordination and Following Up on Economic Affairs, handed the premier’s letter to Dr. Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) office in Dubai.

During the meeting, Gargash congratulated the Tunisian official on the success of the electoral process and the election of President Beji Caid Essebsi.

The two parties discussed the economic, investment and trade relations and the overall regional and international developments.

They also exchanged views on a number of matters of common interest.

Ahmad Abdul Rehman Al Jarman, Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Salim Eisa Qattam Al Za’abi, Ambassador of the UAE to Tunisia, and Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi, Director of MoFA Office in Dubai, attended the meeting.
