Abu Dhabi: To mark the 43rd anniversary of the founding of the UAE as a federation, the Ministry of State for Federal National Council organised a ceremony in Abu Dhabi yesterday to celebrate the occasion.

The ceremony held at the St. Regis Hotel was attended by Tarek Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Dr Saeed Al Gafli, Assistant of Undersecretary for Federal National Council Affairs, and Sami Bin Adi, Assistant of Undersecretary for Institutional Support Services.

Department heads and staff in the ministry also attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Lootah said: “National Day presents an opportunity to look at the achievements and prosperity of our country over the past four decades, which are a source of pride for every citizen. Led by our visionary leadership, the UAE has become a model for development and has enhanced its position on the international stage.”

He also said that the event “is a call for every citizen to renew their loyalty to their homeland and contribute to the ongoing development activities in the country in line with the expectations of our leadership, who have placed their trust on the people and provided all the means for their empowerment”.

The celebration included a range of activities during which the ministry staff expressed their commitment to working for the development of the country and its citizens.
