Would it be so great if the genie did come out of the lamp? Image Credit: Supplied picture

Avoid the fashion police: It would be quite embarrassing if it came out and wasn’t dressed for the times.

Prevent being off colour: What if the genie is not pale from lack of fresh air and is blue, green or red? Spooky enough to make you forget what you want to wish for.

No going back: What if it isn’t possible to put him back in?

Prevent possible disasters: Perhaps his ears are clogged up due to being cooped up in there for so long? Imagine, you say ‘I want a car’ and he hears it as ‘I want a scar’.

Dues and don’ts: If he grants me my wish but wants to be paid for his help. Help!

Downturn digs: Like all other living spaces, the lamp might lose value.

Wish hits and misses: With wishes being granted all the time, I would run out of them and then what?

Ignorance is bliss: Let him loose and he could end up being charmed by the real world and where would that leave me?

Less is more: With so many people trading in a fast lifestyle for a slow one, a big home for a smaller one, why not let the genie enjoy his original choice in life?

Lamp it up: Who knows, living in a lamp is probably the cause of perennial
‘light bulb moments’ for the genie. If you run out of wishes, he could suggest a great one.
