With a quirky idea, Arun and his friends launch a company that will help young men win over the woman they love.

The mission of their company, Unnal Mudiyum Thambi (UMT) is to orchestrate love situations for their clients and bring about a happily ever after.

UMT soon find clients — obviously young men with unrequited love. And for a fee, UMT shoulders the responsibility of wooing the woman involved. For Arun and team, who were formerly stage actors, work now becomes an extension of their passion. Arun writes the scripts and directs scenes sitting inside his van and watching the monitor, while the rest are all players in the make-believe situations.

So far, the story entertains with situational humour, but after a while it gets repetitive with each client and the laughs decrease.

The story goes into flash-back mode when a new client, Santosh (Navdeep) a business tycoon, seeks UMT’s assistance to propose to Maya, (Keerthi Suresh) a singer he is in love with.

Viewers learn about his past and his relationship with Maya, during their college days at Kochi. The question is, how does Arun pave the way for Santosh and Maya’s love life?

Idhu Enna Mayam, (How Magical is This?) is not mushy or an intense love tale. The magic we saw in director Vijay’s earlier films is missing here.

Vikram Prabhu, who proved his acting skills in earlier films, appears stiff, especially in the romantic scenes.

What keeps the film going is the humour and one actor who tickles you now and then is comedian Charlie. Malayalam actress Suresh takes her first step into Tamil cinema and she impresses with her acting skills.

Idhu Enna Mayam is just another love story.
