Giving us a taste of what lies in store at the Ra.One Unleashed ride at Bollywood Parks Dubai, actor Shah Rukh Khan says it’s the bad guys who will keep you on the edge of your seats.

“It’s an experience that supposedly is happening in Shekhar Studios. He is trying to give a presentation when things go wrong and Ra.One comes back. As he should. Bad guys should always come back to revive a film. The fun part starts when they try to save everyone who is going to be watching this spectacle and avoid any eminent danger,” said Khan in a statement. Khan played a superhero in his production Ra.One and the virtual ride is based on his character in the film.

Taking visitors through a behind-the-scenes look at what’s to come, Khan is seen shooting for the opening sequence of the ride and saying: “Ladies and gentleman, welcome. You stand on the threshold of the future.”

Directed by Reema Kagti, of Talaash fame, the ride promises to take us into the superhero film released in 2011.

“Some of the bits and pieces, the take offs and dialogues will use my face for the ride and are being shot right here right now,” said Khan.

But the actor isn’t a fan of the black overalls worn during VFX work.

“I have a clause in my filmmaking that I will never wear the silly suit that you’re supposed to wear for VFX, I look like a half-baked zebra crossing, and I hate it, I detest it, but you got to do what you got to do ... If you are working in a creative field which is going to be measured on commercial standards, you need to outwork yourself, you need to do stuff beyond what you’ve done the last year,” said Khan.

Bollywood Parks Dubai will open on November 15. Go to dubaiparksandresorts.com for ticket details.
