Actor Richard Dreyfuss says he can’t wait to bring his iconic film Jaws to the Dubai International Film Festival (Diff) on December 12.
“I am delighted to be invited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Jaws at Diff. In my career I’ve always been quietly proud of being associated with a movie that has lost none of its power, even 40 years later,” the actor said in a statement.
Diff will pay tribute to Academy Award-winning director Steven Spielberg’s film, considered a classic, as it celebrates 40 years this year. A free screening will be hosted at The Beach, opposite JBR, and attended by Dreyfuss, who plays a young marine biologist in the film.
Jaws is credited with being one of the first ‘blockbusters’ and remains one of the most influential and gripping adventures in motion picture history.
