Dubai: You can now avail services of all government departments in the municipality centers using Dubai Municipality’s Green Ticket.

“Dubai Municipality has completed the development of green ticketing services so that customers of the municipality’s centres can book appointment of all government departments who offer their services at the municipality centres,” said Abdullah Abdul Rahman, director of Municipality Centres Department, announced on Thursday.

Government departments like Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs and the Roads and Transport Authority offer their services in the municipality centres of Al Twar, Al Manara, Al Kifaf and Hatta.

Launched last year, Green Ticket is a mobile application that allows customers to avail of information about the services provided in different centres of the municipality, choose the closest centre, and get a digital ticket to seek the service. The virtual tokens help customers to instantly get in line wherever they are at their convenience during the office hours of the municipality centres.

Abdul Rahman said in a press release that green ticket service now has 4,000 subscribers. He said and that the department plans to increase the number of green ticket subscribers to 10,000 by the end of this year, and offer 300 services in the centres.

He explained that the Municipality Centres Department roped in the summer training students to spread awareness among the public and urge them to use the Green Ticket app by downloading it on their smart phones to benefit from its services.

Abdul Rahman said the smart ticket application development team is now developing the programme so that it can be handled through the smart watch. Efforts are also on to extend its use to include the rest of the municipality facilities such as the veterinary services, clinics and abattoirs.
