Dr Mohammad Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has highlighted the impact of geopolitical changes in the region on reshaping new regional and international alliances and strategies.

“Sweeping geopolitical changes in the Arab world in the recent years have impacted the domestic situation and cultural structure of Arab communities as well as the geographic system, which necessarily determines the political frameworks,” Dr Gargash said during a session on the first day of the annual Government Meetings.

Dr Gargash emphasised the importance of examining the current geopolitical situation in the Arab world and the need to understand the rapid changes and prepare well to cope with them.

‘The rapid geopolitical shifts require us to look for new  mechanisms to deal with them in a manner that ensures  the interests of countries and peoples , especially in the midst of the sweeping changes we are witnessing today,” Dr Gargash said.

He underlined the need to ready for the looming geological changes by developing frameworks and policies that ensure the protection of the Arab region against any negative repercussions or impacts and consolidating its national gains.

Dr Gargash  stressed the importance of strengthening the UAE diplomacy in the Arab and international surroundings, through common economic, cultural and intellectual and development frameworks.
