Abu Dhabi: The ‘Friends of the Police’ summer programme organised by Abu Dhabi Police has concluded in Al Ain. The closing ceremony held at the Al Ain Police Officers’ Club was attended by 80 students, along with officials and parents.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Hareb Khamis Al Khaili, Deputy Head of Clubs Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, said: “The programme included multiple events as well as religious, social, sports, instructional and recreational activities in addition to visits to police sites and stations, tourist landmarks and service centres,” stressing that all of the club facilities have been prepared for the arrival of the children and provide suitable services to maintain their safety.
Colonel Al Khaili also indicated that the programme focused on education and awareness. “Many contests were prepared and prizes were allocated to choose outstanding participants in each activity and event, with a view to promote fair competition and fun among participants,” he said.
