Exercises to help when stuch in traffic:

* Simple stretching exercises that help stretch your back and neck during traffic jams will help with tense muscles.

* During traffic jams take a deep breath, shrug your shoulder, and hold it up for a few seconds before finally releasing it.

* Keep a cushion to support your back

* Take special care of the body posture while driving. Do not hunch forward or sideways

* Wrist and arm exercises - flex them when stationary.

* Best way to do neck and head exercises when stuck in traffic. Look over your right shoulder as far as you can. Hold for a few seconds. Then look over your left shoulder as far as you can. Hold for a few seconds. Drop the right side of your head to your right shoulder. Hold. Drop the left side of your head to your left shoulder. Hold.

* Once you start feeling anxiety or stress during a traffic jam, take a deep breath and slowly start counting from 1-5 between every breath.

NOTE: These exercises should only be done if your car has stopped and you are in no manner endangering yourself or other drivers.
