Dubai: The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) 16th Annual Students Workshop is hosting 601 students and teachers from 105 schools and universities across the UAE from November 7-10 to explore sustainable innovation.
Held under the theme of ‘Sustainable Innovation — Road to Sustainable Development Goals’, the workshops provide an ideal platform to increase the students’ knowledge about the sustainable development goals which were announced in September 2015 and encourage the students to find innovative solutions in reaching these target goals in a creative, effective and fun way, said EEG on Tuesday.
Habiba Al Marashi, chairperson of EEG, said youth play an important role in shaping the future of the nation. In a time when the country is moving steadily forward with sustainability etched in its core, it is very important to inculcate the same values in the young minds of today — our future.
