The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will be launching the Damani project at all its hospitals and primary health care centre this year to ease patient’s health insurance procedures.

The Damani offices will aid insurance holders by contacting their insurance companies and helping them complete the procedures. Insurance cardholders from any insurance company can visit the Damani office to start the registration process and complete the insurance procedures by contacting their insurance companies.

Taha Abdul Rahim Ketait, director of health insurance system management at DHA, said Damani would help aid customers at emergency departments and outpatient clinics of Rashid, Dubai, Latifa and Hatta Hospitals, as well as all primary health care centres, in completing their health insurance procedures.

He added that the authority had signed MoUs with 18 insurance companies to better serve customers at DHA facilities. The Damani offices will also be in charge of contacting health insurance companies to make sure that the services required are covered and help complete the insurance procedures.

He said that the authority will be expanding in the next phase to also include specialised health centres.
