New charges

I received my bill for the month of November and normal charges are Dh189.00. For eLife extra, etisalat charged an additional Dh100.80 as a service rental charge. I have sent repeated emails and reminders to them, but I have not received any reply. I need to know about the new charges and why it was processed without any prior notice. If this was wrong, then I am asking for the credit.

FROM MR MAJID KALEEM QURAISHI

Dubai

The management of etisalat responded:

Kindly note that the customer’s issue with etisalat was solved.

Mr Quraishi responded:

The matter has been resolved with etisalat. I was confused as I was not getting any replies from them despite having sent three emails. Thank you for your cooperation.

Pending issue

The issue I have with Emirates NBD is that despite paying off my personal loan according to the repayment schedule provided by them, they have deducted Dh1,496.82 towards the loan in June 2013. My payments were always Dh6,140 and the final payment was Dh4,741.04 in May 2013, as reflected in the schedule. I have called them and visited the branch and was told to email them the repayment schedule, which I did. However, it has been almost four months and I am unable to resolve the issue with them. Hence, I request Gulf News to help me get it resolved.

From Mr Manoj Bajaj

Dubai

The management of Emirates NBD responded:

We are pleased to inform you that our Group Customer Experience team has been in touch with Mr Bajaj and provided him with the necessary clarifications pertaining to the installment towards his personal loan with Emirates Islamic Bank [a fully owned subsidiary of Emirates NBD]. Further, we wish to clarify that a partial payment towards the monthly installment was recovered on June 26, 2013 due to insufficient balance in the customer’s account. Hence, the remaining installment amount was debited on June 27, 2013 after the salary was credited.
