Etisalat confirms packages to telecast matches, du working on scheme
Making the announcement for etisalat, Khalifa Al Shamsi, senior vice-president of marketing, said: "This is a new milestone for us as it is the first time in the UAE that viewers get the chance to enjoy the Fifa World Cup in full high-definition quality."
Not to be outdone, du said it is working on a scheme to bring Fifa World Cup action to its customers. "We would like to reassure our valued customers that we are working with our partners to provide live action of the Fifa World Cup matches through dedicated packages. Further details will be communicated very soon," the company said in a statement.
