Dubai : Saudi International Boat Show have announced that Trinity Yachts and Westport, two of the world's most renowned superyacht builders, have confirmed their first participation in Saudi Arabia's largest annual leisure marine tourism event running from December 8 to 11 at the Al Furusya Marina and Yacht Club in Jeddah.

Centrally located on the Gulf coast of the United States, Trinity Yachts is one of the world's elite builders of custom superyachts, capable of delivering any boat design in sizes of up to 123 metres.

It specialises in steel and aluminium construction with emphasis on European quality.

Pioneer

Westport, on the other hand, has over 46 years of experience in yacht building. It was a pioneer in the use of composite materials in yacht and commercial construction and has completed over 120 yachts and several commercial vessels. Their presence reaffirms the Saudi International Boat Show's emergence as one of the world's premier boating events.

"Westport considers the Saudi International Boat Show a major opportunity to build on existing relationships and form new partnerships whilst showcasing the kind of products, customer support and expertise that has earned our brand a loyal global following," said Philip Purcell, Vice-President of Westport.

Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and endorsed by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, the venue is managed by Al Ahlam Marine Tourism Group, which incorporates Dream Divers and Saudi Yachts.

This year's show will feature a dedicated supplies and services pavilion displaying a wide range of navigation equipment, engines and fixtures and fittings, plus a marina display area showcasing the latest models of superyachts, leisure craft, fishing boats, powerboats and sailing boats from around the world.

Promotion

"Around one third of the world's fleet of superyachts are owned by Middle East residents, many of which originated from Saudi Arabia, which makes the Saudi International Boat Show the ideal platform for yacht builders to promote their luxury products and services.

"The inclusion of Trinity Yachts and Westport in our exhibitor lineup reflects the growing prominence of the kingdom in particular as the most untapped and lucrative leisure marine market," said Helal Saeed Al Marri, CEO of the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Potential for growth

The inaugural Saudi International Boat Show in 2009 showcased the kingdom's largest display of boats together with the latest marine equipment, supplies and services from the industry's leading names. Saudi Arabia presented opportunities for growth in the industry.
