Dubai: DP World recently opened its first smart logistics centre in Peru, connected by a fibre-optic network to Callao Port, the country’s chief seaport. It aims to deliver full data services to the port and customs departments, enabling clients to control their goods using their own devices.

DP World develops and operates the container terminal in this port, located near the Peruvian capital, Lima. The new platform is designed to drive trade flows in the surrounding area, west of South America, with focus on providing smart logistics services that ensure time saving and cost-efficient cargo movement and management between the logistics centre and the port of Callao.
