The first creative news design conference opens in London on November 3, with Gulf News’ senior illustrator Ramachandra Babu presenting a graphic version of the Brexit timeline. Also present will be “New York Times Magazine’s” art director Matt Willey, named the “Designer of the Year” by Creative Review, who will share his experience on magazine designs.

The event is organised by the Society for News Design (SND). Topics will cover all areas of editorial design, online, mobile, infographics, magazine and virtual reality. More than 20 speakers will share their experience of the publishing industry during the one-day conference.

The SND London conference is being held in partnership with News UK, the London-headquartered media business and owner of ‘The Sun’, ‘The Times’ and ‘The Sunday Times’.

Notable speakers scheduled for the event include Neville Brody, considered one of the most influential graphic designers and founder of Brody associates.

To represent the hugely innovative and influential Nordic design, Søren Nyeland, design editor of the Danish daily “Politiken”, will be there. The publication was SND’s best-designed Newspaper in 2007, 2012, 2013 and 2015.
