Dubai: Saeed Al Abbar, Chairman of Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC), has joined the board of directors of the World Green Building Council, which has representation from more than 90 countries.

He follows Adnan Sharafi, who had held the post for the past two years and was the first Emirati on the board. Al Abbar’s tenure started from July 1. “Since its inception in 2006, EmiratesGBC has served the goal of advancing green building principles that help protect the environment and foster sustainability across the Middle East,” said Al Abbar.
