Abu Dhabi: A special court will be set up within the Sharjah Federal Court of First Instance to look into all lawsuits involving commercial cases.

Dr Hadef Jua’an Al Daheri, Minister of Justice, issued a ministerial resolution establishing the new court as part of the ministry’s plan to reorganise work at court departments.

The decision comes within the Ministry’s strategic objectives aimed at providing legal services in line with the best international practices and the establishment of specialized courts.

Earlier, specialised courts were established to look into civil and labour lawsuits. Jasem Saif Bu Osaiba, Director of the judicial inspection Department at the Ministry of Justice, said work at specialised courts will begin as of November 11.

“The establishment of the new court comes as part of the ministry’s plan to ensure the supremacy of law and the speedy delivery of services provided by the country’s judicial authority in accordance with international standards and practices.”
