Abu Dhabi: “The Ministry of Labour is committed to implementing the instructions of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to respect and protect the rights of temporary contractual workers through application of supervisory and regulatory policies and legislations so as to maintain a balanced relationship between employers and workers,” Mubarak Saeed Al Daheri, Ministry of Labour Undersecretary, said today.

The UAE labour official made his remarks during a meeting today with visiting Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Transport in Nepal Som Lal Subedi, where they discussed Nepalese workers in the UAE.

The Nepalese official said the UAE labour market was attractive to Nepalese workers given the sound legislation that protect their rights and keep them away from troubles that Nepalese workers face in other labour markets.
