Global Village to showcase exciting fare
The 14th edition of Global Village will run from November 22 to February 27, 2010
Dubai : Global Village, a member of Tatweer Dubai, and the premier culture and entertainment destination for families, announced an exciting calendar of events for the 14th edition in a press conference held at its premises on Tuesday.
The conference was chaired by Saeed Ali Bin Redha, Project Director of Global Village.
The 14th edition of Global Village will run from November 22 to February 27, 2010 and will witness the participation of more than 45 countries from around the world.
Bin Redha said that, "Global Village is a pioneering venue for family entertainment, and we constantly aim to introduce innovative elements and attractions with an objective to exceed audience expectations. In our last year's edition, we welcomed 4.3 million visitors and we aim to maintain that momentum during this edition."
While presenting the extensive calendar of events, Bin Redha said that visitors would find the first instance of change in the layout of Global Village, making it easier for them to visit pavilions and walk through the park.
The four entrance gates to the venue would also be distinctly themed to represent four main cultures — European, African, Arabian, and Indo-Asian, added Bin Redha.
"This edition sees an increase in many fronts — the number of participating countries, the restaurants, the number of events, and the space allocated for performances. We've also seen an increased demand for our VIP packs, and I would like to thank our numerous media partners for their collaboration with us this time," he added.
