Abu Dhabi: Arab countries recorded $5.24 billion (Dh19.24 billion) in imports from Brazil during the first half of 2016, with Saudi Arabia accounting for a majority of those imports (23.7 per cent) at a value of $1.24 billion.
According to figures issued by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, the UAE was the second largest source for Brazil’s exports to Arab countries, accounting for 17.3 per cent of the Latin American country’s exports.
Meat accounted for the majority of exports to Arab countries in the first half od 2016 (35 per cent) at a value of $1.8 billion.
