Abu Dhabi: As preparations to celebrate the UAE's 38th National Day gain pace, a unique initiative will soon hit the airwaves a song by Lebanese singer May Hariri dedicated to the people of the UAE.
The song, titled Nothing Like You, is composed by Fayez Al Saeed with lyrics by Abdul Rahman Shibri and is sung by Hariri in the Emirati dialect.

"I was approached by the Ministry of Culture at the Middle East International Film Festival and by Shibri, who won the Million Poets competition, to sing a song on [UAE] National Day.
"I said it would be a pleasure to do so and that it would be a gift to the UAE from Lebanon, through my voice," Hariri told Gulf News.
"I was supposed to be on vacation but I cancelled my plans to focus on this project. It took two weeks to write the lyrics and when I heard them on the phone, I was very excited. I am sure that everyone who hears it [the song] will enjoy it," May said. "So far, I've got positive feedback from those who heard it."
