And, since TV series Friends propelled her to stardom, she's hardly helped herself with her movie choices.

She started well with The Object Of My Affection (1998) and peaked with the excellent The Good Girl (2002), but then came the disastrous Derailed (2005). Since then, only this year's Marley And Me has been much cop, and even then she was nearly outshone by a shaggy dog (no, we don't mean Owen Wilson). This month has seen the release of two more shoddy rom-coms, Management and Love Happens. And we've not even mentioned her appearance in Madonna's super turkey Swept Away (2002). Here are some of her film hit and misses.

DERAILED

This terrible thriller saw Jen and Clive Owen (he was abysmal) being blackmailed over their adulterous affair. Adultery, eh, who'd have thought it?

MANAGEMENT

Aniston's mousy sales rep falls for stalker motel employee Steve Zahn. Absolutely no hilarity ensues.

LOVE HAPPENS

In this weak rom-com, Aniston's florist falls for a motivational speaker who has lost his wife. Where? We really don't care. Time to sack the agent, Jen. Love Happens hits the theatres across the UAE today.

THE OBJECT OF MY AFFECTION

Fresh from filming season four of Friends, Jen made this rather charming romantic comedy (what else?) about a single girl who falls in love with her gay best friend.

OFFICE SPACE

Aniston's performance as a feisty waitress in this cult classic about working life, is one of her best — she still looked cute, too, beneath the awful uniform.

THE GOOD GIRL

Proving that she gives good dowdy, Jen displays a sense of last-ditch desperation in her portrayal of a downtrodden sales assistant who has an affair with a stock boy. Perhaps she sensed what was around the corner.
