Victoria Beckham has revealed she has a “weird” ritual of keeping crystals backstage at her fashion shows.
Beckham, 40, who prefers pink quartz and black tourmaline stones, also keeps some in her bathroom to ward off negative energy after she was introduced to their “spiritual power” when she was living in Los Angeles.
Speaking to students at an art college in Singapore, she said: “If I told you my backstage rituals and was honest, you would think I was a little weird. I carry my crystals with me, which some people might think as odd but it works for us.”
The former Spice Girl admitted she was “quite superstitious”, adding that she avoids walking under ladders and salutes magpies to ward off bad luck.
The revelations came as Beckham and husband David, 39, were celebrated with new wax figures at Madame Tussauds in London — ten years after the originals were unveiled.
Showing off her recent success in the fashion industry, her new model is dressed in one her VB designs.
Beckham also revealed her three sons Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, and Cruz, nine, did not realise the extent of her success. “The boys came to my fashion show this season and were very surprised by the scale and how big it is,” she said.
“I think they were all very surprised that actually mummy does do something. They don’t know what the office is. They know I go there but they don’t know what it is.”
Crystals are popular among celebrities, including Madonna, Katy Perry and Angelina Jolie. They have long been believed to have healing powers, although there is absolutely no evidence to support this.
