International celebrities simply can’t get enough of Dubai’s flowing, sparkling style.

Following in the footsteps of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga donned several loose-fitting embellished gowns during her stay in the UAE last week. (Bet you never thought you’d see those names together in a fashion report.)

Although Gaga did not reveal the name of the designer behind the gold dress she wore on arrival at Dubai Airport, as she had promised to do on Instagram, she did use the photo-sharing site to post plenty of pictures from her stay here, showing her in a variety of jelabiya-style dresses. The jelabiya is a loose, colourful gown worn by women in the region.

During a trip to the desert, she contrasted nicely with the dunes in a royal blue and silver dress by Dubai-based Filipino designer Furne One, who revealed the news to tabloid! reporter David Tusing during his show at New York Fashion Week on Thursday.

“Thank you for the journey of a lifetime Dubai,” she wrote on one photo; “Shukran Dubai I will miss you,” she wrote on another. “Goodbye to you, in all your natural beauty. I love you Dubai Monsters, I will be back. This is a promise.”
