Dubai: Elizabeth Taylor's legendary jewels will be making a stop in Dubai after Moscow, London, and Los Angeles in a public exhibition that will present 269 of her stunning, precious pieces.

Auction house Christie's will be displaying the pieces - which include jewels by Bvlgari, Cartier, Tiffany and Van Cleef & Arpels - in a public exhibition on October 23 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The pieces will then be auctioned in New York in December.

The public exhibition gives fans the chance to see one of the most expensive and ecletic jewellery collections in the world, owned by one of Hollywood's biggest legends.

The film star and humanitarian, who died earlier this year, had always planned to sell her pieces, and advised buyers to "give them a really good home".

The collection is estimated to be worth up to $30 million, and features a variety of diamonds, pearls, gemstones, one-of-a-kind creations and historic jewels, many of which were gifts to her from her seven husbands, including a stunning pearl from Richard Burton and a diamond tiara from Mike Todd.

The display is one stop on a tour the jewels will be making over a period of three months, with stops in Geneva, Paris, and Hong Kong, ending up in New York for an evening sale on December 13, limited to 80 pieces, followed by a two day sale on December 14.
