Abu Dhabi: By the end of next year, construction of the Dh4 billion Shaikh Shakhbout City will be completed, the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) announced today (September 24).

About 87 per cent of all construction has already been completed, the Musanada statement added. Musanada is a public facilities management and construction firm, and it began work on Shaikh Shakhbout Medical City in 2011.

The upcoming 300,000-square metre public hospital facility will be located in Al Mafraq area, and it will have 732 inpatient beds upon completion. It will be serviced by more than 440 doctors and 1,800 nursing staff, and is expected to become a leading burns treatment centre in the UAE.
