Waiting for refund

I had booked an Air India Express (AIE) flight for three persons and had partially cancelled the itinerary on November 27, 2013 as I had to change my travel dates. I have to get Dh1,256.96 as a refund. Moreover, my return flight was cancelled by AIE on January 8, citing operational reasons and a full refund was offered. For that, I have to get Dh1016.29 as a refund. Thus, a total of Dh2273.25 is yet to be received from AIE. I have e-mailed them about the issue. They initially responded saying they have forwarded the matter to their finance department to investigate. Recently however, they stopped replying to my e-mails. I would request Gulf News to assist me in the matter as it’s been two months now without any response.

From Mr Biju Mohan

The management of Air India Express responds:

This is to inform you that Dh2,273.25 has been refunded to the customer’s credit card on February 4. The amount will be reflected in his credit card account within four to five working dates. Kindly accept our sincere apology for the delay in processing the refund and the inconvenience caused to Mr Mohan.

Mr Mohan responds:

Thank you Gulf News for your intervention in the matter and for helping me and the community out with our issues. This is to confirm that I have received the outstanding money from AIE.
