Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Monday announced 1,257 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom to 298,947, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry revealed that 32 people died from complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of fatalities to 3,199, the ministry said during its press conference.

In addition, 1,439 people have fully recovered during the past 24 hours, pushing the total number of recovered cases in the Kingdom to 253,478. The recovery rate has risen to 87.42 per cent. The ministry conducted 52,099 PCR tests over the past 24 hours.

Riyadh registered the highest daily reported cases with 88, followed by Dammam with 65 and Hofuf with 63. Among the infections 33,270 are actives cases, including 1,824 critical patients under intensive care.
