Dubai: The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia said labs of Kingdom are now able to conduct more than 53,000 tests of Coronavirus daily as an effort to combat with the novel corona virus.

The capacity to conduct testing at the starting of the pandemic was just about 1000 tests per day, the ministry’s spokesperson said, according to SPA.

The Health Minister earlier indicated that Saudi Arabia may cross the 200,000 cases, Yesterday it became reality as the Kingdom records more than 205,000 cases of Corona virus as of now.

The spokesman said authorities have conducted over 1.7 million laboratory tests for the COVID-19 virus in the Kingdom. The tests were conducted using partial polymerization technology since the first infection was recorded.
