Kuwait City: Kuwaiti police are hunting for an anonymous man who had allegedly hit a girl’s car after she spurned his sexual advances, Kuwaiti newspaper Al Rai reported on Thursday.
The Kuwaiti girl told police the man driving a car stalked her in Al Salmiya, east of the Kuwaiti capital. He repeatedly asked her to stop as he was dancing to loud music blaring out of his car stereo, the girl added.
After she rebuffed his purported advances, the man hit her car while she was inside and damaged it. He also made an obscene gesture with his hand before he fled, she told police.
“The complainant gave police the plate number of the suspect’s car. She filed a lawsuit against him for inciting debauchery, deliberate collision and committing a decent act,” a security source told the paper. “Information on him is being verified to arrest him,” the source added.
In Kuwait, sexual harassment is an offence punishable by jailing.
