Man held for cultivating marijuana plants in Kuwait

Manama: A Kuwaiti man was arrested yesterday for turning his home garden into Kuwait's ‘‘biggest plantation'' of marijuana, a spokesman of the Ministry of Interior has said.

Police arrested the house owner who was allegedly found while "under the influence of drugs".

Police also found marijuana plants, both fresh and dried, in the suspect's possession.

Different pots and large quantities of marijuana plants were also found at the house.

The suspect is being quizzed by competent authorities, the police said.
