Cairo: Kuwait confirmed on Friday 653 new cases of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, a drop of 87 cases compared to the tally reported the day before, taking the country’s overall infections to 93,475.
One new death from COVID-19 has been recorded, raising Kuwait’s fatality tally due to the disease to 557, Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said.

There are 97 patients receiving intensive care treatment, Dr Al Sanad added, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA.
Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 668,005 after 4,870 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.
The Health Ministry also said that the overall recoveries in Kuwait have reached 83,660 after 620 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
