Cairo: Kuwait today confirmed 704 new cases of the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, a decrease of 121 cases compared to the tally reported the day before, taking the country’s overall infections to 98,528.
Five more deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded, raising Kuwait’s fatality tally due to the disease to 580, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.
There are 101 patients receiving intensive care treatment, he added, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA.
Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 701,484 after 5,928 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.
The ministry reported that the overall recoveries in Kuwait have reached 88,776 after 865 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
