Cairo: Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air has said it is resuming its flights from Pakistan with the first flying from the capital Islamabad on Sunday.
"Pakistan, we are back! Outbound flights from Pakistan are resuming again," the airline tweeted.
The carrier's flights from other Pakistani flights will restart in the next days. The move comes in compliance with a decision issued by the Pakistani civil aviation authorities of allowing outbound flights carrying passengers to outside the country.
Last March, Gulf Air temporarily suspended its flights to seven Pakistani destinations including Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, as part of precautions to curb the spread of the new coronavirus.
Pakistanis in Bahrain are estimated at 120,000.
