Dubai: Bahrain has announced 687 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 67,701.
According to the Ministry of Health, the latest coronavirus patients were identified after conducting more than 11,708 additional COVID-19 tests among citizens and residents over the past few days.
Of the new cases, 133 were among expatriate workers, 550 were contacts of active cases, and four were travel related.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has gone up to 60,853 after another 736 people received the all-clear.
Three more deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours, pushing the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 234.
There are currently 59 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 130 cases receiving treatment. 6,558 cases are stable out of a total of 6,617 active cases.
