A 34-year-old man suddenly lost consciousness and died of a heart attack while he was arguing with a traffic officer over a fine in Noida, India.
According to a report by news magazine India Today's website, the deceased, who was identified as Gaurav, was driving his parents home from sector-62 in Noida, a city part of the National Capital Region of India, when the cops stopped him for a traffic violation.
Gaurav's brother-in-law Ankur Sharma said that the traffic cop had hit their car with a wooden stick to make them stop. This resulted in a heated argument between Gaurav and the cops.
The family also accused the cops of using abusive language during the heated debate.
During the argument, Gaurav suddenly lost consciousness and fell on the ground. According to the family, instead of helping the deceased the police fled the scene, India today’s report stated.
Bystanders rushed Gaurav to Fortis hospital and then Kailash hospital, where doctors declared that he had died before arriving at the hospital.
The family has not registered an FIR in the case.
Apart from his elderly parents, Gaurav is survived by a wife and a six-year-old daughter. He was employed in the marketing department of a software company in Noida.
