Remember the 32-year-old Indian man with a fake beard who was caught impersonating an 81-year-old at Delhi airport earlier this month? Police have arrested the make-up artist who helped him achieve the look.
Makeup artist Shamsher Singh, runs a salon in Patel Nagar in the Indian capital, and goes by the moniker “Billu Barber”. He was arrested for allegedly helping Jayesh Patel to pose as an octogenarian so he could get past immigration at Indira Gandhi International Airport on September 8.
Patel was caught by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for impersonating 81-year-old Amrik Singh in order to travel to New York, US.
Riding on a wheelchair, Patel posed himself as Amrik Singh. Officials grew suspicious during the security check after he refused to go through frisking at the security hold area and said that he was unable to stand because he was old.
When a cop became suspicious, Patel was stopped and put through detailed checks, following which his original identity was revealed.
As reported by indiatoday.in, the cosmetics and material used for dying hair colour into grey were recovered from Singh's shop and he is under interrogation.
