Gunmen in Afghanistan kill intelligence official

Kabul: A district intelligence official was shot dead by unknown gunmen in southeastern Afghanistan and a roadside bomb blast killed a foreign soldier in a neighbouring province, officials said on Sunday.

The shooting occurred in the Khost province on Saturday.

District chief said district intelligence chief Habib Khan was shot while leaving home for the office in the Mandozai district, adding that no arrests have been made.

A roadside bomb also killed a International Security Assistance Force soldier, and wounded another from the Nato-led force on Saturday.
