Venezuelan troops arrive at the Colombian border
Caracas: Thousands of Venezuelan troops have arrived at the border with Colombia, according to the government.
Venezuela made the order earlier in the week after a Colombian raid into Ecuador to kill Farc rebels.
Ecuadorian troops have also been sent to the border with Colombia as regional tension from the raids continues to grow.
However, Colombia has said it has no plans to do the same.
An emergency session of the Organisation of American States (OAS) reached agreement that Colombia had violated Ecuador's sovereignty by staging the cross-border attack, which claimed the life of a senior Farc leader.
But it did not condemn the Colombian government for its actions.
