Hamdan visits group, tells them to be the best representatives

Dubai: A ship with around 300 young men and women from the UAE and 12 other countries, out of which 50 per cent are from Japan, will carry a message of love, co-existence and peace to the people of the world.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on Monday visited the group on Fuji Maru, ship of the world's youth, docked at Port Rashid.
Shaikh Hamdan was accorded a warm reception from the young people.
Japanese Ambassador Tatsuo Watanabe welcomed Shaikh Hamdan and thanked him for the kind gesture extended to the youth, who represent various cultures and civilisations and are brought together by humanity rather than nationality.
Watanabe said the UAE represents the best model of co-existence between various civilisations which live together with the UAE people in harmony and without any discrimination.
Shaikh Hamdan expressed his happiness at meeting the congregation, adding that the Emirati youth on the trip are a source of pride. He told them to be the best representatives for their people through introducing Arab and Islamic culture and exchanging knowledge with other participants.
Mission: Set sail for friendship
Fuji Maru, which symbolises friendship and cooperation between people, visited many countries since it set sail 45 days ago. The ship visited Singapore, China and India before arriving in Dubai, and will leave for Singapore in a few days before returning the Japan.
The Japanese government runs the trip every two years to enable the youth to visit new countries and meet new friends.
