Two new pain killers launched in UAE

Two pain killers have been launched on the UAE market following approval from the Ministry of Health.

The ministry said that it has given the green light to register and market Bextra film-coated tablets for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Another drug, Dynastat, for those suffering from postoperative pain was also launched. The two drugs have been in the markets of other countries, according to the manufacturer, Pfizer Inc.

A spokesman for the manufacturer said the drugs were designed to relieve pain and inflammation around the clock. They also offer an improved safety profile for the upper gastrointestinal tract and do not affect blood coagulation, allowing for post-operative use.
