Dubai: Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, ordered the Dubai Media Incorporated television channels to launch an aid campaign for the people of Gaza, which has been under Israeli attack for more than 10 days.

The telethon will be aired as part of a nation-wide relief campaign to raise donations in support of Palestinians in Gaza, launched by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority and head of the foreign aid coordination office. The TV channels will open their telephone lines on Friday to receive donations from the public.
