Traffic alert: Sharjah to close key stretch from Intifada Street to Corniche Street

Sharjah: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced a month-long temporary road closure affecting a key stretch from Intifada Street to Corniche Street, as part of the first phase of infrastructure development in the area.

The closure will take effect from Friday, June 27, 2025, and remain in place until Sunday, July 27, 2025, the authority said in a statement on Thursday.

The authority urged motorists to use alternative routes and follow traffic safety instructions to ensure smooth travel and public safety throughout the development period.

The closure is part of a broader initiative to upgrade urban infrastructure and improve road networks across the emirate. Authorities have assured residents that traffic detour plans are in place and that updates will be provided as the work progresses.
