Brazilian team gets to know about Dubai Metro

Dubai: A delegation from Brazil headed by Julio Lopes, Secretary of Transportation of Rio de Janeiro and Mario Garnero, Chairman of Brazil Investments visited the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to learn about the transport system of Dubai and the Dubai Metro and Tram projects.

Abdul Majid Al Khaja, CEO of the Rail Agency gave them an overview. Al Khaja said, "The Dubai Metro project is one of the first metro projects in the world to be planned and executed within a short time frame. With various studies conducted since its inception, the Dubai Metro will be the longest driverless network in the world to be completed in one phase."

The state of the art infrastructure facilities can be benchmarked to the Metro systems of Hong Kong, Singapore and London.
